Also, you could do some research about them by asking other people who have experienced availing their services, looking at the homes and projects they have already constructed, and finding out if there are any complaints about them from their former clients or customers.
After deciding about the contractor, make sure that you have read and understood what is written in the contract. Moreover, it is advisable that you monitor the construction of your own house very carefully to make sure that everything that you wanted and needed are being done as agreed upon.
